Top Hotel Deals in 2009 as per DealBase Predictions
DealBase.com have published it’s prediction for best leisure destinations with expected discounted great hotel deals in 2009, “The Year of the Travel Deal” as they call it. The predictions are probably greatly weighted by the current economic crisis, and the last year travel rate drops.
Some of the cities on the list are:
- Hawaii: If you ever dreamed of going there, it’s the right year!
- New York City
- Washington DC
- Miami, Florida

Fiordland National Park in New Zealand
The New York Times have written an article about Fiordland National Park in New Zealand, which had it’s Milford track called the “the finest walk in the world” by The Spectator magazine back in 1908. Long time yeah, but the author is reviving his recent last Februray group trip there, and its full of promises for adventure seekers and hikers. Interestingly enough, the walk seems to have a daily limit of 90 people, or 50 for private guide company. So it’s not a place you head to unprepared and without prior booking.

Atalntis, The Palm Opening
Crisis or not, Dubai is moving full speed with all of its projects. 24th of September last year was the opening day of the magnificent one of three to come Atlantis, The Palm Hotel.
The hotel which cost 1.5 billion dollars to build over the sea did not save any costs as well on the opening, with a budget of 20 million dollars for the ceremony.

Happy 2009 year to all of you travelers. 2008 has been exciting for us and we look forward to this year with our 2009 resolutions, may God help us achieve them:
- Better Hotels Search: We want to maxmimize and improve on the existing hotels search features we have. Make it more accurate, easier to use, and more comprehensive.
- New Search Features: This is something in the brainstorming phase and we can’t give much details about it yet.
