Souvenirs and gifts, aside from the photos and videos we capture, are the memories we carry with us back home from the places we’ve visited. Some places how are just so amazing you can’t have enough of them. Problem is, we so often run out of time buying enough items, run out of cash, run out of space in our bags, or simply don’t take enough for all the people we love back home. That’s why we thought for quite some time how valuable it might be if we get the chance to still buy the souvenirs and gifts after we’re back. That’s right. With hard work, and to fulfill the increasing demand, we are starting to Arabize the interface and the content gradually. For over two years we have been in operation, and during those two years we have noticed an increasing demand for an Arabic interface, and good quality Arabic travel content. While we cannot grant all of these wishes right ahead, partly due to the nature of the content that’s coming automatically from the hotel providers, we’re happy to deliver the first milestone in this path.
From now on, you will have the option to read 7ojozat Blog in either English (here), or Arabic. Rather than posting the same topic twice in different languages on the same blog, we thought this will be confusing to both type of readers. Hence, you can now subscribe to your favorite language of the blog, and we’ll be trying our best to keep them in sync and a mirror of each other.

Happy 2009 year to all of you travelers. 2008 has been exciting for us and we look forward to this year with our 2009 resolutions, may God help us achieve them:
- Better Hotels Search: We want to maxmimize and improve on the existing hotels search features we have. Make it more accurate, easier to use, and more comprehensive.
- New Search Features: This is something in the brainstorming phase and we can’t give much details about it yet.
- Middle-East travelers community: We’re still in the initial phases of 7ojozat Tours, and what we really want is a community site for middle-east travelers. Share their ideas, travel experience, photos, and videos. We also try to keep it up to date with latest travel news and highlights.

Travellers Meet @ 7ojozat Tours
Hi All,
Two years have passed since the launch of 7ojozat.com hotel search and comparison service. We are happy to be serving over 100,000 users per month now as we grew over time. During my last trip however, I figured we travelers get lots of great experiences during our trip, have lots of tips to share, photos and videos to show to the world. We wanna discuss what we did, and what we can do next time.
This has led to the birth of 7ojozat Tours, the community for middle-east travelers. All subscribed travelers there will get their own blog, be able to share photos, videos, events, join in forum discussions, and more. You can already see there tens of photos, some videos, read some articles, news. Basically, we have prepared it all for you to tell us “What You Did Last Summer”. You really don’t have to confess, but we’d love to know all about it!

Our search just got smarter!
If you’ve been using our hotel search service recently, you may have noticed the new auto-completion feature that would suggest for you famous cities based on your query initials as you start typing. Some reported however that those suggestions are not very helpful as they do not return the most targeted cities. Example is, when you search for Du, as a middle-eastern you would probably expect Dubai to be the first or second result, when it was at the bottom of the list.
We strive to hear such feedback and work hard to imrpove on it. Now, you will start noticing that suggested cities will rank based on their popularity. What defines a city popularity you ask? It’s your very same queries. Cities that are visited most will rank first as the most possible desired destination. So now, you are likely to see cities such as Dubai and Munich on top of others you never heard probably heard of.
