Try the Cable Car in Singapore

April 29, 2009 · Filed Under Asia, Attractions, transportation · 1 Comment

While it may not be a final destination for many, it is a hot staying spot for people traveling from and to places like Australia. If Singapore is a stop for you, you may want to give it a couple of days or so, and see what beauty it has to offer. One of the attractions they say you shouldn’t miss there is the Cable Car between Mt. Faber and Santosa.

The news around it is that these cable cars will be put to retirement later this year, as Mount Faber Leisure Group is planning to replace it with 68 new cable cars only to be known as Jewel rides, one of which will be made for VIP from Austrian Swarovski crystals, and will be equipped with a DVD player, fridge, and a high-end Bose system. Total cost estimate of the project is $36 millions, with a target customer attraction of 1.7 million riders.

One Million Hotel Rooms on Sale in New Zealand and the Pacific Region

February 24, 2009 · Filed Under Articles, Asia, Hotels, News · Comment

Accor Hotels Super Sale

For the dates 24, 25, and 26 of February, participating Accor Asia Pacific hotels are making available one million hotel rooms at very special rates for bookings on dates from 1st April – 31st July. The discounted rate is a pretty smart idea to guarantee early reservations for the upcoming summer season during the economy crisis. An open period would make people hesitate, as opposed to this limited time offer. It’s too early for many I guess however to decide on a short notice.

Countries that will have discounted offers are Australia, China, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam. Get your special rate from the Super Sale page.
